The sky is the limit. Reach for the stars. In malays, at least in my swift and brief debating time, there was ‘dasar langit terbuka’ ..open skies, gittew ..
Why not have to the heavens?
Are you not scared of the heavens! ..a line plucked from a korean Saeguk drama.
Is that heaven the same as ‘kayangan’ in malay lores?
The turquoise stone, I’ve heard is synonymous with the sky. To soothe onesef, when there are no blue skies to see, gaze on the stone, it is said ..
Well, I for one, do not fall easily for the opaques of stones and gems. The facets, that, amazes me ..the aquamarine, on the other hand ..glides between water, pure and clear, and the clear, breathable, clean sky ..it is said, that it was good for the throat chakra, as it assists in communications and so on.
A peculiar note on that however, before actually going to Japan for the finals of the Asia Pacific Cup for public speaking contest, I remembered going to a stones’ store at then, the barely opened Mid Valley ..oh yeah, I was one of the first to make pilgrimage there ..
I remembered, looking, window shopping but one particular stone set silver ring ..caught my eyes. I didn’t buy it at first, but it was so on my mind that later, much later when I got thr money, I bought it. It was, I was later noted, an aquamarine. Though not of the highest quality, who cares …two hundreds somethings ..or was it more ..maybe more ..was expensive enough ..for my lot. It was a frivolous buy. I remember, not forgetting to bring it with me,as I would belek, I like the play of lights on it ..to Fukuoka. It was my most prized possession..back then. Sentimentally enamoured.
The Love of A Thousand Skies
Bright, starred, speckled
You carry my hopes, prayers and gushed
Lay trodden in this rampart of hearts
Beguiling tears and soft formed moans
Harkened by famished desires lain in sobs
The invincible tears you cry
The sky sees, the sky knows
It cries, retch with you
Pained, misfortuned and deviled ..
The prayere, please lift it up to the Heavens
Let the angels pray with us, least say, they pray for us too
The betrodden, betrayed and way laided
