I actually wanted a singing in the rain kinda music video ..owh, yup ..not unlike Mariah Carey’s Through The Rain huh!
But the lighting was bad, and a few tries spells a no no this time around. So I decided to try the lovely brick tunnel that I always happenned to use for quite some time. It has an old world kinda charm, so maybe that will get through. Again, what I had in mind was different from what was captured. The first shoot was at night, it was not really good. I lacked the proper equipment for a night shoot and there were many motorist, who stopped and stare making it a bit unnerving to carry on.
The second shoot was better. It was actually at noon-ish but it was a bit cloudy, so it looks like mid morning of sorts. There weren’t many motorists and this time around, I was shooting at the other end of the tunnel which enabled me to fully appreciate the scribblings and graffiti ( okay, it’s vandalisme). There was even an uncle who refused to disturb my shooting and went the other way, around the tunnel to go to the other side. Wow!
I also tried under a fly over location. It didn’t turn out that good, but it rained when I was shooting. So, that’s a laugh. A potential shoot, but nah. It didn’t turn out good.
I used some footages for Kamar Seni. I ended reusing the same clips, maybe I was trying not to take risk. Huh!
I missed the important shoot, the shooting while recording one. Wished had planned earlier for that one.
I happenned to see the murals otw back from work. It was exquisite and when the time came to shoot for Angin, that mural came to mind. I had to re do the shoot because the first time it was already mid morn, and the glare was too much. I mean, I was burning with my two layer and it didn’t help that there were many passers by that morning.
The next shoot, the weather was superb. It even had a gust of wind, which was captured while I was singing the first line of the chorus.
I had two embellished hoodies but decided to just consider the clips with the white ones because the black didn’t look appealing on camera. Maybe because of the grey morning plus it clashes badly with the murals.
I used paper planes as props for this shoot. The idea was ro capture it in flight, mid air ..oh my…as all my plane came crashing down fast ( should have bought the paper pi n for the end part to make it remain longer on air). In the end, thanks to abundance of strategic greeneries, it was just me putting the planes on the leaves..meaning ..I want to take flight..to meet my love..oh wind mighty wind please lift me up and make me fly …that sort of thing ..
